2019 Cool Fab-Racing Championship Round 1 & 2

May 14, 2019

Round 1 Llandow 29th -31st March - Ryan went into the 1st round with  positive feelings he could ride both bikes , he is riding a Metrakit Mini GP50 and this will be his 2nd year on it  and GP70 which is his 1st time racing it , to ride both is hard due to different breaking areas on both bikes  , a lot of riders find it difficult and often go backwards but we said to Ryan we will look at it after round 1 . Ryan  was buzzing after being able to ride both bikes ,Ryan qualified in 5th on the GP50 and qualified 3rd on the GP70 .

GP50 Race 1 - Ryan rode well and pushed the bike and finished 2nd , well done son .

Race 2 - Ryan went well again pushing the bike finishing 3rd , well done son .

Race 3 - Ryan pushing and pushed to hard and missed a gear near the end of the race finishing 6th , well done son amazing racing . Finished 3rd overall for the weekend .

GP70 Race 1 - Ryan's 1st race on the 70 and expecting Ryan in top 10 due to this being Ryan's learning year and no pressure like we did on the GP50 last year but shocked us all by pushing hard in 2nd until he had very little brakes , came in and he had boiled his brake fluid as he is such a late breaker  so had a DNF .

Race 2 - Ryan back to pushing hard ,breaking late and being so quick in and out of the corners , finishing in 2nd place .

Race 3 - Ryan pushing hard again and finished 3rd , so very proud of Ryan as most have been riding the bikes last year , he rode amazingly and a great mothers day gift . Ryan finished 3rd overall for the weekend.

Round 2 Redlodge -26th - 28th April

Well I think its safe to say we had all the seasons in 1 weekend apart from snow but it dampen the racing spirit.

Qualifying GP50 - Ryan qualified in 2nd place and had good pace .

Qualifying GP70 - Ryan qualified in 4th and so much better than we expected for his 1st season.

GP50   Race 1 - Ryan had a good start and pushed hard taking his 1st ever win on the GP50 , a very proud moment after battling with Kyle and Harrison.

Race 2 - Ryan finished 4th in a very wet race but Ryan knows he should have pushed harder .

Race 3 - Ryan had a good start following Kyle into the first 2 corners , then dived under Kyle on the corner to take the lead in lap 1 , which he did and ended winning the race with a 5 second gap on a damp track finishing 1st. Finishing 1st overall for the weekend.

GP70  Race 1 - Ryan pushing hard finishing in 3rd with great close racing with Evan and James .

Race 2 - Ryan did well considering he had to do 3 race starts due to 3 red flags , and finished in 2nd place .

Race 3 - Ryan started well but ended with a DNF due to loosing his gear leaver somewhere on track he was gutted but that's racing , so Ryan ended up with Eddie having the same points but as Ryan had a DNF he was 5th overall for the weekend , well done son great racing .

Would like to thank Jennifer Duffee for making Ryan's weekend special and coming to watch him race , it made his day , he was over the moon and so proud .
